Departure date is now only 6 weeks away !
We have been busy mapping detailed trip routes and sight seeing plans for each day – as usual we have about 3 months of activities planned for 3 weeks away !
We have also just finished whetting our appetite for the Normandy area watching the “Band of Brothers” mini series which depicts the heroics of the US Army 101st Airborne regiment during WWII. Whilst it covers a lot of area we won’t see (Belgium & north west Germany) we were very interested in the Normandy parts and Berchtesgaden.
(Very graphic but an exceptionally good series – produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks – well worth a look !)
