When we are not actively researching our current tour plans, we have lots of plans and ideas for where we might like to go in the future.
First plan is to win Lotto or Powerball ! 😂
USA Mid West North trip planning
Obviously completing our “50 States” adventure looms large, but we have plenty of other plans too ! Is planning ahead 10 years too optimistic ? It is constantly changing but here are a few of the tours and ideas we have in our future plans –
- 2018 – Finland to visit Simon & Jatta – plus travelling with them in Iceland – then off to Scotland and Ireland – ✅ – 2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣8️⃣ Done !
- 2019 – USA – Mid West North – lots of rolling plains ! It’s been a while since our last USA tour and 6 new states to experience and tick off our list – ✅ – 2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣9️⃣ Done !
- 2020 – STOP PRESS ! – Worldwide Pandemic in Progress ! Well that certainly wasn’t in the future plans ! Everything goes on hold for now – for who knows how long ! Oh well, that means ❎- 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣0️⃣ and ❎ – 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣1️⃣ for overseas travel- but after that lets try –
- USA – North East – to finish off “the Lower 48”. The final 7 “mainland” states to visit and some places we enjoyed previously – and it’s an election year, we always go in election years ! Finally – ✅ – 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣2️⃣ Done !
- USA & Canada – “North, to Alaska” to finish our “50 States Adventure” , starting with a cruise between Vancouver, Canada and Whittier, Alaska, a driving tour into Alaska followed by another driving tour to start off our exploration into Canada. ✅ – 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣3️⃣ Done !
USA North East trip planning
- 2024 – France and Spain – I’ll be in need of a history tour so what better timing than the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day landings at Normandy ! Then we’ll head down into Spain and back across into Southern France.
- Then, perhaps – USA – starting again ! Well, there is still lots we have to see – all those “we’ll do that next time” places – and many more National Parks. A visit to the Southwest again has been calling us !
- Or maybe USA – Yellowstone NP in Winter – we have never been “cold climate” people but we think this would be an awesome experience !
- Or maybe – USA – Back to the South – we’ll need some Cajun Cookin’ by then (and Adrienne will need a Disney World fix for sure !) so Louisiana, Alabama, the Gulf coast and Florida are on the radar – and maybe even a Caribbean cruise – who knows, the West Indies might be good at cricket again by then !
- Or – Scandinavia perhaps ? – there are some impressive roads along Norway’s coast !
- UK – England and Wales ? – still lots we haven’t seen and plenty to explore there.
Then there is South Africa ? India? more of the USA – a cruise along the Mississippi perhaps ? more Canada ? Epypt & Jordan ? or ???? – plenty to dream about anyway !
And likely many changes in between …..
