Gosh ! Only a couple of months nearly 6 weeks less than 6 4 weeks to go !
We have had so much to keep us busy lately that our holiday (and my blog !) has crept up on us – but we are certainly looking forward to a break !!
And since my last post we have even started booking our 2015 holiday ! But that’s for another year.
First stop Hawaii.
We will be visiting four of the islands with 3 or 4 nights on each island.
Our first stop will be the island of Kauai.
Then its off to the island of Maui.
Our third stop is the island of Hawaii itself – the “Big Island”. Whilst on Hawaii, we have one night booked at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park – the hotel situated on the rim of the crater where you can see the glow of the lava from the volcano at night – lets just hope its just the glow we see ! (Have you been watching the news ??)
Last stop will be the island of Oahu – home to the iconic Honolulu and Waikiki Beach.
… and also Pearl Harbour and in fact our stay will coincide with the 73rd anniversary of that fateful day in WWII – December 7, 1941. We have a booking to visit the USS Arizona Memorial on December 8 and will likely take in the Parade and other festivities scheduled for December 7 itself.
