We are just blown away with the National Parks system in the USA !
Our second trip through the South West really opened our eyes to how magnificent they are. We think we are becoming experts now and even planning our trips so we can get 2 trips in consecutive years on 1 Annual Parks Pass !
There are currently 62 official National Parks (as of December 2022) spread across many of the states. Some are pretty tough to get to (like some in Alaska – which has 8 of the parks !) but we are doing our best to see as many as possible over time.
We have also visited many of the beautiful National Monuments and Forests – part of the overall National Park Service – and various State Parks along the way.
