A Temple by the Sea

Not long since we returned from our Europe trip but around this time of year is always special – celebrating our anniversary ????????????♥ – and for number 35 we headed to Pullman Palm Cove Sea Temple Resort in sunny North Queensland.

We went to Palm Cove for our 25th – probably the first anniversary when we started spoiling ourselves with a few days away – so we figured it would be nice to go back 10 years on – and its much warmer up north this time of year !

Simon obliged with dropping us at the station to get the train to the airport. It really is an easier option with the nightmarish traffic these days ! And following our brief ? 3 hour flight , we collected our car at Cairns Airport for the short drive to Palm Cove and the Sea Temple Resort.

Having booked an apartment, we stocked up with goodies to compliment what was on offer at the hotel during our stay. The weather wasn’t great – a bit of rain for the first couple of days – but it was nice and warm ! Despite the weather, we walked up and down the beach and along the main street – it has changed a lot in 10 years !

On our first rainy morning we opted for a drive back down to Cairns and then had a couple of drinks in the pool bar at “Happy Hour”. When the sun came out next day, we headed north for the morning for a walk around Port Douglas and then lazed by the pool with a drink before another walk along the beach in the late afternoon. And on our last day we stopped into the markets at Kuranda on our drive back to the airport in Cairns.

All too soon it was over and it was time to head back home and rug up again !

Here are a few snaps ….
