Quest’anno la nostra destinazione di viaggio è l’Italia!
Liam ci ha abbandonato e si sta dirigendo verso l’Europa separatamente su una “escursione” scuola durante le vacanze di settembre.
Abbiamo elaborato che il 2013 è di 30 anni dal nostro ultimo viaggio lungo senza figli. Nel 1983 siamo partiti nella mia pausa Università nel mese di luglio nella mia verde Holden Gemini attraverso Outback NSW a Broken Hill, i Flinders Ranges, ad Adelaide, poi di nuovo lungo il fiume Murray, attraverso le montagne innevate e casa.
Quindi, prendendo un po ‘più sofisticato dopo 30 anni, Adrienne ed io abbiamo deciso di trascorrere questa vacanza immersi nel romanticismo e la cultura d’Italia.
Abbiamo in programma di iniziare a Roma e fare un paio di gite di un giorno da lì. Poi a Firenze, in Toscana e nel nord del Lago di Como e sulle Dolomiti per finire a Venezia …. ah Venezia!
Io posto il nostro itinerario una volta che è stata portata a termine – ma per ora Arrivederci!

This year our travel destination is Italy !
Liam has deserted us and is heading to Europe separately on a school “excursion” in the September holidays.
We have worked out that 2013 is 30 years since our last extended trip without children. In 1983 we set off in my University break in July in my green Holden Gemini through outback NSW to Broken Hill, the Flinders Ranges, to Adelaide, then back along the Murray River, through the Snowy Mountains and home.
So, taking it a bit more upscale after 30 years, Adrienne and I have decided to spend this holiday immersed in the romance and culture of Italy.
We plan to start in Rome and do a couple of day trips from there as well. Then on to Florence, through Tuscany and into the north to Lake Como and across the Dolomites to finish in Venice …. ah Venice !
I will post our itinerary once it has been finalised – but for now Arrivederci !
